Ski or snowshoe with one of our naturalist/biologist guides into a landscape filled with wildlife, frozen waterfalls, spectacular scenery and hidden thermal areas. Departing from Mammoth Hot Springs, the park’s quietest gateway, our unique comfortable and heated snowcoaches will transport you into the heart of Yellowstone and into areas that few visitors experience each year. Imagine skiing through a vast winter landscape to an off the beaten path geyser basin, home to bison and wolves or snowshoeing to a hidden waterfall, totally encased in ice and snow. All cross-country skiing and snowshoeing equipment is included on each safari if necessary. During your expedition into Yellowstone’s backcountry, you will stop for lunch and possibly discuss topics from wolf re-introduction to bison management. This is a perfect safari for the more adventurous guest who wishes to go off the “groomed” path.
